Who we are

Freddie Media is a video and content production company registered in England and Wales, company number 14474828, at 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF.

For anything to do with your data, email hello@freddiemedia.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page.

What we collect

If you fill in the contact form we receive your name, your email address, your company name if you give one, what you tell us you need, and your message. That is all of it.

We do not use cookies. We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or session recording. This site loads nothing from third-party servers, so no other company sees your visit. If you simply read the site and never contact us, we hold nothing about you at all.

Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as every web server does. Those are retained by the host for a short period for security and diagnostics.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry and, if it turns into a project, to carry out the work. Nothing else.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has deliberately contacted us about our services — or, once you become a client, performance of a contract.

We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing because you used the contact form.

Who sees it

Your enquiry arrives in our email, which is Google Workspace. Google processes it on our behalf as our email provider.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within two years. Records relating to actual client work are kept for seven years, which is what UK tax and accounting rules require.

Ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can also ask for it in a portable format.

Email hello@freddiemedia.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data — adding analytics, say, or a booking tool — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
